Our Story

Our Network

We maintain relationships with experienced attorneys across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho who specialize in personal injury, family law, criminal defense, and consumer protection. When you contact us, we evaluate your situation and connect you with the attorney best suited to handle your specific case.

What We Don't Do

Disclaimers

Legacy Northwest is a legal referral service. Attorney services are provided by licensed attorneys in your jurisdiction. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Free consultations are available for most case types. Information on this site is for general purposes and does not constitute legal advice.

Cons & Considerations

We believe in transparency about what a legal referral service can and cannot do:

  • We are not a law firm. Legacy Northwest connects you with attorneys but does not provide direct legal representation. Your attorney-client relationship is with the referred attorney, not with us. This means we do not control case strategy, communication frequency, or outcomes once a referral is made.
  • Geographic limitations. Our attorney network is concentrated in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Clients in other states may not find a suitable match through our service, particularly for cases requiring local court familiarity.
  • No guaranteed results. Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of your case, applicable law, the strength of evidence, and many variables beyond anyone's control. A free consultation does not imply that you have a viable claim, and a contingency arrangement does not guarantee a recovery.
  • Contingency is not universal. While personal injury and consumer protection cases are typically handled on contingency (no fee unless you win), family law and criminal defense cases generally require retainer fees and hourly billing. The cost structure depends on your case type.
  • Referral quality varies. While we vet our attorney partners, every attorney has different strengths, communication styles, and caseload capacity. If you are unhappy with a referred attorney, contact us — but understand that we cannot guarantee a perfect match on the first referral.
  • Statutes of limitations apply. Every legal claim has a deadline. In Washington, personal injury claims must generally be filed within three years (RCW 4.16.080). Missing this deadline can permanently bar your claim regardless of its merit. Consult an attorney promptly.
  • This is not legal advice. Nothing on this website creates an attorney-client relationship or constitutes legal advice. The information provided is for general informational purposes only. Consult a licensed attorney for advice specific to your situation.
